    The Day After Christmas

     
    Good Morning everyone!
     
    It's 0543 the day after Christmas here in Oklahoma City.  Shelly and I were headed out the door for the gym when our trainer called and said he was sorry but the gym would not open until 0800.  The management did not tell the trainers and in fact did a very poor job of informing the customers because Jeff, the trainer, said there was a big line of people this morning at 0500 when he arrived and discovered the error.  Well, what to do now that I've had my creatine my herbals (for energy) - I'm pumped - I'm ready and it's to cold outside for me to ride my bike, walk or jog & & & who am I fooling - I don't jog - the old knees won't take the pounding and talk about pounds!!!!!!!  I don't know about you but I have really enjoyed the food the past two days - man, their is no comfort food like home cooked food.  Well, that's it for now - how about you?  How has your past few days been?  I hope you had a wonderful time with family and friends.  God Bless You All.

        Well, sounds like you had a great holiday too.  I know what you mean about all the good food.  For us that is part of the season festivities .. eating good food.  My daughters make terrific homemade candy and I put on the other good eats.  But I'm like you.. ready to work out...   need to get rid of all that good food build up now.. hehehe....     i think you will see my email address when you are in the edit mode.  where you can see who all visited your website.  I have the email showing there for you.

    That had to be annoying to get all ready and not be able to go yet. I know how it is. That kind of thing has happened to me before. Our gym has all wacked out hours this week, so I doubt I'll go back until after the new year. They were totally closed today. The days they ARE open, they aren't opening until 10:00 or 11:00. I just don't want to work out that late! It's going to be so FUN to go back after a week or so of not doing anything. OY!
     
    We're leaving for Berlin early in the morning. We'll be coming back late Thursday. I hear we may get some snow there. I hope the weather isn't too bad because we have a lot of things we want to see!
     
    We were on the phone a lot yesterday with our families in Oklahoma. Sure wish we could've been there for Christmas!

    Jerry,  Thank you for visiting the Painting Studio and for your comments.  I served with the 3d Squadron of the 14th Armored Cav in 1968 and lived for a year or so in Bad Hersfeld.  I was on seperate rations and my wife and I lived right on the Markplatz.  We rented a loft in a very old building.  I recall that my favorite bar was the Discotec in the lower level of the old white hotel across the street from the Kurpark.  I sort of ran the Personel Office as the Warrent Officer preferred golf and sightseeing.  A very good friend of mine Col George O'Brian is going back to the sandbox for his sixth tour in January.  This time he will be flying in Afganistan and is the second or third time he has been coaxed out of retirement.  There seems to be a lack of experienced pilots.  Pleased to meet you.  Will be back again as time allows.

    I know you enjoyed your Christmas being home with Shelly this year.   You never did answer whether you remembered me blogging with you when you were in Iraq.  I would blog everyday with you till you got home.  I loved seeing your pictures and reading your blogs.
